To craft artificial palm trees to look lifelike is an art. Today’s technology is amazing in what they can do. The only way to tell that these artificial palm trees are not real is to get up, close, and touch it. You used to be able to determine from quite a distance away that artificial plants were phony, but not any longer.

So what does that mean? What it means is that you can have these artificial plants around your home, company, lawn area, etc and as far as your friends, customers, etc, are concerned they are real plants. You get all the benefits of having a living plant, but without the negatives of a living plant; mainly the cost of maintenance and the conditions that you must provide in order for the plant to grow healthy. This is especially true if this is your home plant. Many people don’t have the knowledge or the climate to grow a healthy palm tree.

It used to be shoddy to put artificial plants at your home or lawn. Not any more. That is a good thing for people who don’t have a green thumb, like myself or who don’t have the time or desire to tend to plants. I love the look and feel of a live palm tree, but don’t want to have to worry about the upkeep of it.

What is also good about artificial plants is that you can have plants that normally don’t grow in your neck of the woods, grow in your backyard. While I live in a climate that supports palm trees, the area I live doesn’t grow palm trees natively, so having one in our yard doesn’t look that out of place and I get the benefit of having it appear to be growing naturally in my backyard. That may not be the same if you live in a very cold climate, but hey, who cares, artificial plants can be placed anywhere. Have fun and enjoy.
